There is a bag of apples on my table. The apples are small and half-red. They come from Yunnan.
Last summer, I went to Xundian, a city in Yunnan. I met my friend Li Pengfei. He is a 6th grader.
I stayed at his home, a simple house. Early in the morning, we carried big baskets to pick apples. The trees were full of apples. After hard work, we came back with many apples. You may think, “it was time to eat them.” But Li sold these apples at the market (市场). The money he earned(挣得) could help him in daily life.
Before I left, Li gave me a bag of apples. It shows our lasting love and friendship. I will help him and grow up with him.
Katherine says:
Li sounds like a wonderful and considerate boy. He earns money for his family and he is a kind friend. I hope your care for each other will never stop!
